December 11, 2006Virginia CDL to Boycott Gun StoreSee what happens when you cave to Bloomberg?
In all fairness to the store, the legal fees to fight Bloomberg and his city-paid lawyers would have been daunting, but so is the privacy issue for someone wanting to purchase a firearm. Again I ask, why hasn't the BATF arrested Bloomberg and his undercover teams for making "straw purchases?" These suits are nothing more than attempts to legislate through litigation and extortion. Comments
I don't know Virginia law, but why not threaten a suit for invasion of privacy for permiting the access? Some may say that this is eating your own; I disagree. If everyone rewards Bloomberg's bullying tactics like this, then haven't we effectively lost the battle, and possibly ceded serious ground that will lead to the loss of the war? Posted by: Ron at December 11, 2006 11:32 AMWhy doesn't VCDL sue Bloomberg, his operatives and the city? If the BATFE won't do the job on them they do on everybody else. Federal court is where this should go, denial of civil rights at a minimum cause of action, conspiract to deny, coercion, etc. Posted by: straightarrow at December 11, 2006 05:05 PMthe comment input form disappears. Your comments are welcome. You don't need to enter a URL and you don't need a "valid" email address, either. Note though that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that. By Golly, you're reading an archived post.
