Four-Years-Young!

Today is the fourth anniversary of the launch of Alphecca!

alphecca_bd3.jpg

In my first couple weeks I had written posts about a wide range of subjects. In the first post I had, I mentioned a protest by liberals at one college over an appearance by Hillary Clinton. That was four years ago. Interesting how prescient that all turned out to be.

I had a post about rural politics and how most Democrats in Vermont were against gun control. That hasn't changed, either.

A pair of posts concerned what many of us call the "slippery slope" of gun control. Fortunately, I was wrong about this one because the snowball has been rolling uphill in the past few years, what with more states embracing "shall issue" CCW permits, "stand your ground" legislation, the demise of the ridiculous "assault weapons ban," and the state and federal laws protecting law abiding gun owners during an emergency. That's not even to mention the Lawful Protection of Commerce act to shield gun makers and dealers from frivolous lawsuits.

In one post, I defended Andrew Sullivan from attacks by the left that he was a conservative gay, or "homocon". I guess I got that one, or rather I got Him wrong, since he's turned into a screaming liberal since the war on Iraq began.

Also, my house was invaded by terrorist ants, complete with photos.

There was also the very first edition of my (now defunct) Weekly Check on the Media Bias against guns. It was all of one paragraph and a table long. Hmmm, now that's something that hasn't changed; media bias against our gun rights!

And that was just in the first two weeks!

So, I don't know how many thousands (or maybe millions) of words I've written since Alphecca started but it's been fun and I look forward to continuing for many more years.

Heck, I can't seem to get enough of blogging since I now have four full-time blogs. There's my group sci-fi blognovel, Colony: Alchibah, my kitchen help blog for novices, The Single Guy Cook, and my news for pet owners blog, Tarazet.

Anyway, as I've said many times in the past, thanks so much to all of you for stopping by!

Go get 'em, Jeff. Anybody who quotes Rush lyrics and deconstructs media gun coverage is providing something I wouldn't want the blogosphere to be without ...

CONGRATULATIONS TO MY BLOGFATHER!

I can't believe it's been four years. You're an ongoing wellspring of inspiration for me, and it is no understatement to call you one of the most important Second Amendment voices in the country.

KEEP IT UP!

Note: Comments close down on posts after seven days and then
the comment input form disappears.

Your comments are welcome. You don't need to enter a URL and you don't need a "valid" email address, either. Note though that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that.
