The USS Heinlein?

Sounds pretty damn good to me! My buddy Bill runs a blog all of you libertarians should have bookmarked called HeinleinBlog and he's reporting that a move is afoot (well, from somewhere) to name a ship after Robert A. Heinlein. So, go there for the details.

I think it would be even better if NASA named one of their next generation ships after Heinlein. Heck, I even, briefly, named a robot after him in my sci-fi blog novel. And yes, the first one there was named Asimov...

Can't see the Navy doing this really.

RAH did in fact serve in the Navy, but received a medical discharge. That should help.

Your comments are welcome. You don't need to enter a URL and you don't need a "valid" email address, either. Note though that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that.
