May 31, 2006If It Wasn't So Sick, It'd Be FunnyTalk about a culture of mutants! From Yahoo News:
I was actually laughing by the end of the story. Did somebody say, "C-L-U-E-L-E-S-S"? Don't they have mental hospitals for moonbats like these in the Netherlands? Is Michael Jackson moving there? Posted by Jeff Soyer at May 31, 2006 02:11 AM Comments
The whole thing is just nasty, but I am confused about what free train travel has to do with all the rest of their filthy laundry list, unless they want to be able to get around easier when looking for victims. Posted by: Marianne at May 31, 2006 06:35 AMHey, at least the Nederlanders will know where all the creeps are. A benefit of free speech. How hard would it be to run against the "I'm a pedophile" platform? I'd even vote for Kennedy over a pedophile. Also, could being a card-carrying member of the Pedophilia Party be grounds enough for a search warrant? It seems like the members are just making themselves targets. Not that I mind, terribly. Posted by: jeremiah at May 31, 2006 07:57 AMA new study has shown that living below sea level can cause mental illness in politicians. Jack Posted by: Jack Lorenz at May 31, 2006 02:45 PMWell, how are these guys any different from NAMBLA? Only one difference that I can see, and that is, being based in the Netherlands, they have a much better chance of getting their policies enacted (slim is still better odds than none). Posted by: Steve Skubinna at May 31, 2006 04:13 PMCreeps preying on children is where my libertarian tendencies end. Bigtime. Lost my virginity b4 i was 16, (not much before and with someone the same age). With hindsight, I wasn't mature enough then for the emotional stuff that came along with it. I don't think anyone would seriously want to stop kids of roughly the same age as each other playing doctors & nurses, but put more than a couple years age difference in and it starts to look predatory and downright evil. The little creeps can try to argue that while we support gun rights, and GLBT (including transgenger) rights, we are being extremist with them. My answer is: OK, so why are you not going for adults who can argue their side of the story and give mature and considdered consent (i don't care what consenting people get up to as long as no one else gets hurt) why do you go for the young and naive? are you incapable of having a relationship with an adult human? What you going to do when your pliable impressionable little victim grows up and comes looking for you? (if I was a lawyer I'd give my time for free to defend their actions, but I'm not) As for animals, well, I suppose that I eat meat, and I hunt, and it can be argued that they are abuses (we have 10 pets of varying species in the house, so I am pretty soft about animals) and compared with shooting, rape is a slightly lesser assault (in that your skin survives, your mind probably won't), but what does it say about the person who is doing it? In human society, some lines have to be drawn, and the age of consent of around 16 is one of those lines that I support. PS When I was at college(mid 80's), a middle eastern student at our college (Luton) returned from vacation with his child bride. I can't remember her age, somewhere between 9 and 12. Did that cause a political storm in britain!
Do not characterize pedophilia as a "libertarian" position. Sex with children, unconsious/drunk persons, the mentally retarded, or any other person incapabable of fully informed consent is always going to be rape. The libertarian position on this is that the asshole who commits this rape should be held responsible for his/her crime. Posted by: Kristopher at June 1, 2006 12:46 PMFully informed consent? Sometimes a child just wants to get close to an adult. Sometimes that involves sex. Screw the information, the kid just wants to get laid. So it becomes the responsibility of the adult to find something else for the two of them to do. If that doesn't work, to lay down the law, no matter how much it distresses the child. Pedophiles - the real thing - don't care if the kid wants to. As a matter of fact they prefer a child who resists. For the pedophile it's a matter of control and domination. They need to hurt people. In this case the young. Fully informed consent really has nothing to do with the case. Posted by: Alan Kellogg at June 3, 2006 08:28 AMthe comment input form disappears. Your comments are welcome. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that. By Golly, you're reading an archived post.
