April 26, 2006Menino & Bloomberg on Gun ControlWow! They learned a lot at yesterday's "national summit" on illegal guns -- Bloomberg and 15 Democratic mayors and someone from the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence. From the Boston Globe:
Gosh! Watch out for those mayors doing it.

You're having too much fun, man. Posted by: Ken Summers at April 26, 2006 09:09 AMThat's so retarded, and I'm sorry to insult retarded people! How can they create "databases to track illegal guns," when they are by definition illegal, unknown, and off the books? What will they use as identifiers? Fuzzy pictures from the ATM or liquor-store camera of a "thing" in a guy's hand? They're going to waste a huge pile of money chasing phantoms. Posted by: -keith in silicon valley at April 26, 2006 11:33 AMThey know exactly what they are doing, even if they won't admit it. Criminals are merely a hazard ... when they get to thick hire more guards, or send the police out to kill a few. Peasants with firearms are different ... they can actually kill the ruling class when they get angry. All of this "gun control" is really peasant control. Don't be fooled by the crap coming out of their mouths ... it ain't about criminals. But, but, but .... was the person from the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence a Mayor?
Evidently the mayors in question are unfamiliar with this "Constitution" thing, or the idea that there are powers that mayors, in fact, lack. Posted by: Sigivald at April 26, 2006 03:08 PMI can help the mayors with new gun laws. Only one needed: "It shall be illegal to commit a crime using a firearm or any other weapon". What more is needed? Jack Posted by: Jack Lorenz at April 27, 2006 02:13 PMthe comment input form disappears. Your comments are welcome. You don't need to enter a URL and you don't need a "valid" email address, either. Note though that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that. By Golly, you're reading an archived post.
