A Saturday Saunter...

They promise us that Spring is arriving this coming week. God I hope so. I just want some warm blue skies... Anyway, others are writing about much more meaningful things:

Tam has up tiny gun porn. For those of you who didn't realize it, the picture on the sidebar of Rainbow shows her with a Tomcat.

Ninth Stage had a close encounter of the unwanted kind. Fortunately it was only close and not direct.

Bruce reports that Boston is banning yet more "assault weapons" because, I suppose, there's been a rash of gang members shooting down airplanes.

Countertop has a bit of gun porn that would have most guys' guns raised.

Cam Edwards covers "a debate" between Ward Churchill and David Horowitz. Interestingly, he says that while Horowizt won on points, Churchill held his own. At lease, while Cam was able to stay awake...

Comments

Jeff, Thanks for the link. This is the comment I posted on my own post.
Like I said it was very cool, I’d always wanted to see a tornado live and in person. It is truly an awesome sight, a sense of power, relentless and oncoming power.

I was elated and scared at the same time sorta like you (or at least I) felt during earthquakes in CA. Unlike so many other folks, I always enjoyed earthquakes. Maybe it’s just the sense that, thank god, something is more powerful than the government.

My enjoyment has been tempered by the knowledge that people died. It’s been tempered even more so since Mary’s immediate boss, a woman we called Dolly, was killed by the tornado. The worst part is that she was killed while I was watching the tornado since she was hit south by southwest from my viewing position.

Mary is pretty broken up by it and I can’t now relive those moments without thinking of poor Dolly.

the comment input form disappears.

Your comments are welcome. You don't need to enter a URL and you don't need a "valid" email address, either. Note though that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that.
