March 09, 2006Kansas CCW Inches ForwardSince I've been following this, here's the latest:
I still think the bill is doomed if it reaches the Governor's desk. I just don't see enough votes to override a veto. Posted by Jeff Soyer at March 9, 2006 07:42 AM Comments
I wonder what it is about churches, libraries, and the like that make them magically impervious to the goblins. Maybe if we could figure that out, we could rub some of that juju on the rest of the world and then everyone would make all nice with other. We're gonna end up with CCW, but the only allowed sites will be our own homes. Wait, that's just like now. Sack Sebelius. Posted by: tkdkerry at March 9, 2006 10:47 AMSomeone should remind Sibelius of what happened to Ann Richards, the Texas Gov who blocked CCW. She got voted out of office, and her successor, who signed the LTC bill, is now President of the United States. She, on the other hand, has esophageal cancer. President of the US versus Esophageal Cancer. I know which I'd choose. -Paul Or she can look across the border here to Missouri. Former Gov. Bob Holden (better known as 'One Term Bob') vetoed our CCW. I hear he's teaching a class of some sort now... My bet? Sebelius vetoes, it's sustained, and if she doesn't run for higher office elsewhere, she's re-elected. Especially if the Republicans can't do any better for candidates than they did last time. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that. By Golly, you're reading an archived post.
