"Dear Me," Said Narcissus...

So, David Kaspar reports that another media bigshot (in Germany) doesn't think much of us bloggers. Here's a quote:

"While serious journalists at least try to implement objective criteria, many blogs are driven by a hyper-subjectivity. The blogger places his person in the foreground. It is often about narcissistic egocentrists who want to satisfy the urge to express themselves..."

Well of course! It's all about me. And until someone can definitively prove that I'm NOT the center of the universe, I'll keep on blogging... BTW, if you happen to agree, feel free to vote for me here. Thanks so much!

Hypersubjectivity is bad in what way?? I did the vote thingie, even though I was maybe thinking the center of the universe might be over here in rural NY. But hey, you never know. Hope you win.

It's all about your cats. Not you. Just ask them.

Well, Jeez, whaddya expect people to think? You've got a picture of yourself that everybody has to look every time they come here. A New York Times columnist wouldn't . . . Oh, wait .....

I know where the center of the universe is. I have been there, and I can show it to you...for a price.

One day, as I was walking out of Starbucks with my hippie beverage, I glanced across the street and saw...another Starbucks. Directly across the street. Not 40 feet away. And right then, I knew, I had discovered the center of the universe.

So unless you have two Starbucks in your back pockets...

As Willie said to Joe during the attack, "The hell this ain't the most important hole in the world. I'm in it!"

Your comments are welcome. You don't need to enter a URL and you don't need a "valid" email address, either. Note though that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that.
