Wisconsin Override Vote Fails

Two rat-bastard Democrats betrayed the law abiding citizens of Wisconsin and deprived them of the right to protect themselves from the thugs, mutants, rapists, killers, gang bangers, et al. I detail this in updates to my Weekly Report earlier today but thought I should also put the unfortunate news in a seperate post. Here, from the update in my Weekly Report:

Update 3:35 PM: While on-air with Cam a few minutes ago, confirmation came that the assembly vote to override the Governor's veto failed by two votes. Interestingly, it was two Democrats who had voted for the CCW legislation or to overide the veto six previous times! Their names are Terry Van Akkeren and John Steinbrink and I have hope this is their last terms in office. Rep. Steinbrink's son is actually a CCL holder in Texas and had especially phoned his dad before the vote to get him to support the override. I imagine there will be a heated follow-up call later today...

So there you have it. We, and the supporters of CCW in Wisconsin will fight for and try again. In the meantime, Wisconsin gun owners need to focus on the Second Amendment. I've stated here that I am a one-issue voter in most elections. They need to become so, too. Akkeren and Steinbrink have a lot of answering to do to their constituents who mostly support the right to bear arms.

What is it with these so called legislatores? Who are they listening to, the leftests or the good people of wisconsin. I am from Washington state and we have ccw in this state, and the part of the state I live in the police are all for us to carry. I have a friend on the police dept, and he likes the idea that he may have help if he ever needs it. Just get rid of the idiots in Wisconsin and put good people into the legislature. The Governor does't care if anyone carries, he has stat cops as body guards.

Isn't this pretty much the same thing that happened last time?

This is a sterling example of why I point out that voting for ANY Democrat is a mistake if you're a fairly devoted 2A kind of person: even if the Dem shoots, hunts, loves guns and has given us some votes in the past. . .he or she is still part of an overarching and over-reaching organization that is hostile to our 2A rights.

That said, the Republicans are only marginally better. They will generally vote pro 2A rights, but they're on the wrong side of several other important questions. And often dull, too.

Face it: pols in this country aren't generally worth the powder to blow 'em to hell, and it matters little which party spawned them.

SOSDD. Hopefully there will be some really new office-holders in Madison soon. I don't understand the Wi. voter though, this is not the first time they were betrayed, why don't they send these descendents of a long line of bachelors home permanently?

the comment input form disappears.

Your comments are welcome. You don't need to enter a URL and you don't need a "valid" email address, either. Note though that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that.
