December 17, 2005Pataki Wants More Gun LawsBecause, you know, New York State doesn't have enough... From NY Newsday:
Hey, George? I have an idea: How about a bill where "If you shoot ANYBODY without justification you go to prison for 20 years and the penalty for murder will be the death penalty?" See, I have a problem with legislation that would make a cop's life more valuable than anyone elses. I don't want to see any cop get murdered but then, I don't want to see ANYONE, mother, child, hot-dog seller, janiter, ANYONE get killed. Shouldn't the penalty be equal for slaying any law-abiding, innocent victim? Comments
Some animals are more equal than others. Oink. Posted by: timmy at December 17, 2005 05:03 PMJeff, I agree that all murderers should be potentially subject to the death penalty, whether they killed a cop or a civilian. But, since it is the Peoples Republik of NY, baby steps are needed to reach that point of equality of victims. Even a thousand mile journey starts with one step at a time. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that. By Golly, you're reading an archived post.
