November 06, 2005Meandering Around...Back from work (yes -- on Sunday) and while I'm too lazy to post on my own, others are doing a fine job: Mike at Cold Fury shows how our Constitution might soon read. I'd give it a "heh" except that he might be right! Ann Althouse wonders (along with William Safire) why gays have to be so specific as to have gender specific handles which is something I've wondered about as well... The Blogonomicon has some banners we should show exhibiting our disdain for curtails to blogger's 1st Amendment rights. Good job! Some of you know that my pet blog is no longer active. I plan to fold my pets posts back here and turn Tarazet into something else in a few weeks or months or whenever... My friend Victor at Publius & Company lost a friend the other day and while some of you might scoff, as a pet owner myself, I know that all creatures big and small that share our lives are important and it hurts when one moves on. A word of warning: I will be putting up more pets posts here (as I used to do a couple years ago before spinning it off to Tarazet) about dogs and cats and other neat critters. Hopefully most of you understand the bond that our animal friends mean to us... Victor is a good blogger friend of mine and my condolences go out to him. The phrase should be, "All friends big and small". Comments
Jeff, thank you for the kind and comforting words on Zoe's passing. It's never an easy decision to have to make, but I felt helping her to her final nap was best for her. And as I said, while I'll never forget how frail she was at the end, in my heart she'll always be a fat, happy, and licky little girl. Posted by: Victor at November 7, 2005 08:45 AMAnyone that objects to pet posts is hopeless and should be ignored. My sympathies to anyone that has lost a furry friend lately. My cat passed a couple years ago at the age of 25, and I still miss the little fuzzball. The world needs more cat and dog blogging. the comment input form disappears. Your comments are welcome. You don't need to enter a URL and you don't need a "valid" email address, either. Note though that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that. By Golly, you're reading an archived post.
