How Pathetic is This, Part 2

NYC Mayor Bloomberg is just about the most virulently anti-gun politician around. He's also a Republican (RINO) and, naturally, donates to the Republican Party so he'll receive support during elections. His opponent in the upcoming mayoral race is trying to use those donations against him. From NY1:

Ferrer joined officers from the group 100 Blacks in Law Enforcement Saturday in criticizing Bloomberg's donations to the Republican party on the grounds that they may have helped pass a law shielding gun manufacturers from lawsuits.

"Mike Bloomberg has given $17,000 to Republicans in Congress who just voted in favor of a law that will steal the rights of gun violence victims to seek compensation from the gun industry itself for injuries," Ferrer said at the event at City Hall.

Congress last week passed the bill, which shields the firearms industry from massive lawsuits brought by crime victims.

Bloomberg has publicly called the bill "a disgrace," but Ferrer claims the mayor's donations tell a different story.

That's all just silly. What does Ferrer expect Bloomberg to do, donate instead to the Democrats who are working to defeat him in the next election?

I really feel bad for New Yorkers, stuck with fake, phony, fraudulent Republicans such as Bloomberg and Pataki. Don't even get me started on the Democrats in that state such as Ferrer and Schumer and Clinton.

Mike Boomberg is a Democrat.

he only became a Republican when he ran for mayor because he saw there was no way the Democratic Party machine would nominate him.

Your comments are welcome. You don't need to enter a URL and you don't need a "valid" email address, either. Note though that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that.
