Around Town...

Early Sunday morning. It's been raining for over 24 hours straight. It's gotten a lot colder. *Blechh* Fortunately, there's lots of interesting stuff in the blogosphere.

I did not know, but now that I do I am very impressed that Stickwick at Carnaby Fudge is an astronomer working on the life stages of some galaxies. This is interesting stuff and I hope he writes about it more often from now on. I might have to ask him to join the Science Board of Alphecca alongside official Blog Scientist, Jay Manifold.

James at Hell in a Handbasket continues his series on the M1 Carbine.

Speaking of history, Denise at The Ten Ring gives some background on her Lugers.

Finally, congratulations go to Bruce at mASS Backwards for making the Boston Globe's list of notable local bloggers!

That was stickwick that posted the astronomy thing, not carnaby. In fact, I haven't seen Carnaby post there for a bit... most curious.

Shows how clueless I was, I didn't realize there were two different authors on Carnaby...

I'm getting a File Not Found on the Zendo Deb link.

You're right, Kirk, looks like she killed the post for some reason. I've removed the link from my post.

"It's been raining for over 24 hours"

South of you, northern border of .ma.us near the Conn River. The 3" rain gauge overflowed twice before we gave up and quit emptying it.

Got kinda wet, huh?

the comment input form disappears.

Your comments are welcome. You don't need to enter a URL and you don't need a "valid" email address, either. Note though that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that.
