If You'd Just Listened To Me...

...When I'd posted this then you would be enjoying the fruits of this:

Shares of Smith & Wesson Holding Corp., the parent company of gun maker Smith & Wesson Corp., and Sturm Ruger & Co. shot through the roof on Friday with the expected passage of an industry-friendly gun-liability bill in the Senate.

Both gun makers hit new 52-week highs on the pending legislation, which was stripped of an amendment in a 62-37 vote Thursday that would have allowed lawsuits against gun makers for gross negligence.

From now on, you listen to your Uncle Jeff...

I listened to you. I bought about $200 worth of each last Monday. Heh heh. I put a little money away into a Scottrade account several months ago, and have been trying to figure out where to put it. Got any hot tips on ammo companies? Heh heh.

S397 passed in the Senate today by a vote of 65-31. I received an email from Senator Bill Frist, my state senator and Senate Majority Leader informing me of same. Frist also made one of his most outspoken statements in a press release, on the 27th I believe, that I have seen. Really came out for the bill and made a number of pro Second Amendment comments. Since he's generally been wishy-washy, like President Bush, on 2A stuff, it was great to hear. The passage of S397 is even better.

Keep up the good work -- I enjoy your posts

Note: Comments close down on posts after seven days and then
the comment input form disappears.

Your comments are welcome. You don't need to enter a URL and you don't need a "valid" email address, either. Note though that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that.
