May 27, 2005CCI AmmoI happen to like CCI ammo. I've never had a problem with CCI 9mm and .38. I think their .22 is better than Remington, which seems to leave a residue of some sort. But a friend today argued otherwise. I will point out that CCI .22 has brass shells. I think it is great and at $13.99 a brick, it's a great deal. The 9mm had -- I think -- aluminum shells but it works fine in my handgun. Just my opinion. Talk amongst yourselves... Comments
I've always liked CCI ammo. Many years ago, as a teenager, it seemed like the only ammo stocked locally was CCI and Federal. The Federal .22 ammo would not function in my 10/22. I think it was the gunky lubricant on their non-jacketed bullets. The CCI Mini-Mags with the copper coating always performed perfectly (I used the cheaper Federal ammo in my Single Six). I also really like their Stinger. The Stinger was great for knocking raccoons out of a trees. I also used their .22 shotshells to great effect against rats. I've never had any problems with any of their centerfire ammo. Posted by: Nomicon at May 27, 2005 10:57 PMthe comment input form disappears. Your comments are welcome. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that. By Golly, you're reading an archived post.
