Lousy Weather Again

It's cold and raining. Again. For a change. I really wanted to go to the range today to continue getting to know with my new rifle. Rats!

I had a Ruger 22 just like yours.
Must have been some 30 odd years ago.
Funny thing, I could shoot a better group at 100 yds with open sights, than with the scope. Never figured out if it was the scope, or I had uncovered some well kept secret about rifles. I can tell you this though. As a toolmaker, there was absolutely nothing hinky about the scope mount. Oh yeah, I tried about every load, including match available at that time, and the open site/scope relationship never changed. I would like you to make the same comparison and let us know. -BEFORE YOUR RIGHT EYE GETS TOO RIPE-
When my eyes went,I just stopped shooting altogether. Still have the 1911, 1897, and a couple 38 spec SN. Teaching my son to shoot, he
liked that Ruger 22 a little too much, kinda had me worried. So I traded it off for a Bolt Action. He still has it. After that I kinda drifted into Single Shot long guns and eventually traded off the 03A3, Winchester and Browning.
Single Shot? Guess I am just a simple Man.

Your comments are welcome. You don't need to enter a URL and you don't need a "valid" email address, either. Note though that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that.
