Just Meandering...

Over at And Rightly So!, Raven feels violated. And rightly so...

And at It Comes In Pints?, Ken has been Photoshopping Air America. What goes around comes around, Randi?

In the meantime, Deb at Accidental Verbosity finds another reason to resist government universal healthcare. James R. Rummel has more over at the Chicago Boys.

Now Michael over at Gay Orbit has found something cool, a contest to design a space elevator. Where's Otis when we need him?

And not lastly, my wishes and prayers go out to Pat Hejny that she came through her surgery okay. I'm waiting for an update. Morgan?

LOL I sure was feeling violated. Ick. Having that man anywhere near me is gross, and I live a short distance from Manchester.

Have been off-line since late Saturday afternoon and just came across this post of yours Jeff.

Although Pat came through the surgery with flying colors (as reported on her blog by me on Wednesday, here; one of two comments posts made by me to Pat's blog post about her surgery, here), a couple of days later I was informed that they decided to have her stay put there for a few more days than had been originally planned (she was supposed to be discharged on Friday).

As stated on my newer online journal (here; via LiveJournal), [o]n Friday (April 29, 2005) afternoon I visited Pat up at the Central Vermont Medical Center (CVMC) [i.e., Central Vermont Hospital (CVH)].

She enjoyed our visit, as did I of course. It was the first time she had ventured out of her hospital room on foot since the surgery.

With the aid of a walker, which she has been using for a while now, we took a slow walk together to a small section at the end of one of the hallways of the ward she is on that serves as a place to hang out or visit with others outside the patient rooms.

It is the typical modern hospital fare of course. Besides a huge window, which provides an excellent view, there are a couple of comfortable chairs as well as a good sized couch too. We sat and talked for a while, until -- ironically enough -- I was the one who ended up getting tired out.

While I spoke with her on the phone on Sunday, other than Pat telling me she thought she would go back home either on Monday or by Tuesday, there is really nothing more to report and that's all I know at this point in time, except to say that she looked in rather good spirits when I visited with her.

Looks like a death threat to me. Prosecute! Oh, and prosecute Ann Coulter.

PS How did Al Franken get mixed up in this? The spot was on the Randi Rhodes show.

Note: Comments close down on posts after seven days and then
the comment input form disappears.

Your comments are welcome. You don't need to enter a URL and you don't need a "valid" email address, either. Note though that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that.
