April 26, 2005Another Hmmm...I'm not sure how I feel about this but Countertop Chronicles reports on the latest ruling by the Supremes regarding foreigners with convictions and purchasing firearms. Comments
Oddly enough, I agree with the mostly liberal justices on this one. Not all foreign countries have the same due process as the USA & may not have the same determinations between misdemeanors & felonies. Still, if I were the FBI or ATFE, I might put this guy on that super secret watch list. Posted by: SJP at April 27, 2005 02:12 AMI can't decide what I think either, but I think I agree with the liberal justices... Posted by: Dean Esmay at April 27, 2005 07:03 AMI know how I feel. I can't wait until you can keep your gun rights in another state if the crime you were convicted of would be legal in the state you now reside in. Own a .50 in California and you're a criminal, own a .50 in Tennessee and you're supporting a local business (think Barrett). Note though that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that. By Golly, you're reading an archived post.
