March 18, 2005Meanwhile in South Africa...Just because a government decides that buying a gun should be a near impossible feat doesn't mean that crime disappears. From IOL South Africa:
Of course, with many hard-core criminals possessing illegal firearms, they still have the upper hand. Really, forbidding law-abiding citizens from the proper means to defend themselves just makes it all the easier for the mutants. Plus, it robs the honest folks of their dignity. Yes, there is dignity in being able to properly protect your home and family. San Francisco take note! Comments
You've got to admit, though, that the thought of some goblin taking a 3" bear-tip to the sternum has a gripping visceral appeal... Posted by: Jay G at March 18, 2005 08:30 AMBears? In South Africa? Heh, they have a few more dangerous beasties to worry about. You can probably get all sorts of interesting edged tips. Posted by: DJ at March 18, 2005 04:18 PMThis same thing will happen in Maryland (USA), if Mayor O'Malley manages to make governor. The politicians, and police, who claim to know more, and better, than the majority population on how best to take care of them - are simply clean-up crews. Note though that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that. By Golly, you're reading an archived post.
