Pro-American Demonstration

Davids Medienkritik (which I've mentioned before) is a terrific German blogger who is pro-American and publishes dual versions of his blog in both English and German. He will be taking part in a demonstration in the City of Mainz to show support for stong German-American relations. For those who haven't checked the blog out, he focuses on the German Media and their bias against the US, against Jews, etc. relating to politics. Sort of a much more ambitious version of what I do in a small way examining US Media bias against guns.

Speaking of bilingual blogs, Ryan, formerly of SoundFury, has a new blog titled Gringo Unleashed! which publishes in both English and Spanish and examines politics. Good stuff so check him out.

I don't know if this is significant, but the Middlebury Language Schools' German Junior Year Aborad campus is in Mainz. Since you're in Vermont, I wonder if it would be worth a call to the German dept to see what they think of this idea? Let me know. I knew a lot of the German professors when they came to campus for the summer language program. Great bunch of people, liked to laugh and kid around.

I'll continue to follow this. Sounds like it'll be v-e-r-y i-n-t-e-r-e-s-t-i-n-g. Nein?

Your comments are welcome. You don't need to enter a URL and you don't need a "valid" email address, either. Note though that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that.
