Pop Quiz

Quick, who just spent the last half-hour stating that 9/11 wasn't an attack on freedom or liberty but rather was the fault of American "Imperialism" and interventionism -- that is, America was to blame for the attack herself? And who then went on to blame Israel for most of the other problems in the Middle East?

No, it wasn't Ward Churchill, it was Pat Buchanan on Meet the Press. The transcript should be up by tomorrow. And to think that anyone really considered that mutant for president...

Oh, come on Jeff, I can think of plenty of people who are less qualified to be President than Pat Buchanan. He has more personality than Al Gore. He doesn't flip flop on both sides of the issue like John Kerry. Of course in this instance he's WRONG, but at least he doesn't flip flop about it.

I'd just like to add that if they were really concerned with destroying liberty, they'd just leave us alone, as we seem bent on destroying it ourselves.

I agree that Buchanan has a certain _style_, he does have conviction, he's an enemy I have always loved to hate, an interesting foe, but I must still oppose him nonetheless. Indeed, his views on the War put him on the same side as that professor.

Your comments are welcome. You don't need to enter a URL and you don't need a "valid" email address, either. Note though that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that.
