August 16, 2004Women Only, Howell, MichiganAs part of the Women on Target program of the NRA, the Howell Gun Club of (oddly enough) Howell, Michigan is holding an event for first-time women shooters only, on Saturday August 28th. Here's all the details about this excellent introduction to the shooting sports (or just personal defense skills) as well as other planned events. As organizer Johan P. Bakker writes, "This event covers all of the popular disciplines, and is completely free to participants - everything is provided by the club and its sponsors, and I do mean everything - guns, ammunition, targets, even lunch." Folks, this sounds like a lot of fun and for you first-timers, you don't need to bring anything but yourselves to participate. Again, just click here for all the particulars and get involved and have a good time. You'll also discover that the shooting sports are actually a lot of fun. I hope other bloggers will help spread the word as well. And by the way, I (again!) encourage all gun clubs and organizations to email me with upcoming events.
