Three Years Young

This past weekend was InstaPundit's 3rd bloggiversary. It seems incredible that it's only his third. I feel as if my (at least) twice daily stops have been part of my "news gathering" routine for years and years. Probably you feel the same way, too.

It shows just how young this blog "medium" really is. Yes, there were a few ahead of him, but none really turned it into the science that Glenn did, and he was one of the first to make it respectable enough (or powerful enough) to draw the attention of standard TV and newspaper editors and pundits. He (along with Andrew Sullivan) certainly influenced me to start Alphecca.

Glenn -- along with Aubrey Turner and the Bitch Girls were also very early supporters of Alphecca; helping me get noticed.

So Happy Bloggiversary, Glenn!

The way technology is rapidly advancing, will we find ourselves a few years from now with simple satellite receiver chips implanted near our audio or visual centers being beamed "live" posts directly into our brains via thousands or millions of neuron-network channels? Someone should write a sci-fi story about that...

"Someone should write a sci-fi story about that..."

Someone has included the idea in their stories.
Check out Janet Morris's Dream Dancer trilogy.

the comment input form disappears.

Your comments are welcome. You don't need to enter a URL and you don't need a "valid" email address, either. Note though that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that.
