It's A Compliment!

Well, to some. From Kentucky.com:

BOSTON - Stating that someone is homosexual does not libel or slander them, particularly in light of new court decisions granting gays more rights, a federal judge has ruled.

The ruling by U.S. District Judge Nancy Gertner came as she threw out a lawsuit by a former boyfriend of pop singer Madonna who claimed he was libeled because his name appeared in a photo caption in a book about Madonna - under a picture of Madonna walking with a gay man.

"In fact, a finding that such a statement is defamatory requires this court to legitimize the prejudice and bigotry that for too long have plagued the homosexual community," she wrote in her opinion Friday.

I agree completely with this ruling. And it's okay if you refer to me as the "gay gun-nut." I consider both to be points of virtue. I have to admit, though, that some of my best friends are "straight gun-nuts." Not that there's anything wrong with that...

It is an honor to be a gun-nut, i.e., a defender of freedom. It is an honor to be a homosexual. I myself am not man enough to be a man's man (nor woman enough to be a Lesbian), but I always take it as a compliment when I'm mistaken for one because of my dogmatically pro-homosexual views.

(I don't understand "straight", since I'm attracted to curves instead.)

Steven, you're not using your imagination!

Though why "straight" in this sense should be restricted to heterosexuals I don't quite understand.

Your comments are welcome. You don't need to enter a URL and you don't need a "valid" email address, either. Note though that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that.
