Blog Brunch

While not a done deal, on Sunday, June 6th there is a strong possibility that Alphecca BlogScientist and blogger-extraordinaire, Jay Manifold of A Voyage To Arcturus will pay me a visit in Fairlee on his way to Canada to catch the eclipse. We'll probably meet somewhere for a late breakfast or brunch, and then I always take people to "the lake" (see the photos several posts back titled "A Beautiful Day") because I always figure that if they wind-up finding me boring, there's always the lake, surrounded by soft green hills, to enjoy. We'll probably end the visit around mid-day.

If some of you other bloggers in the area would like to join in, just email me for directions. Fairlee, VT is very easy to get to. Think of it as a mini-blogger-meet.

An eclipse or a transit of Venus? My brother's going to the Near East (Egypt and Israel) to see the transit. Anyway, I hope you and your friends have a good time.

Transit of Venus. I'm flying in to Boston, doing a bit of tourism in New England, and driving to the most northeasterly clear spot I can find, possibly in New Brunswick.

I note that to see the Sun eclipsed by Venus, one would have to travel to within about 900,000 kilometers of Venus itself, which is beyond my present capabilities. And budget. ;)

Well... I KNEW it had SOMETHING to do with something in space... Bitter Bitch is also planning to attend. Alas, Jay Solo has a prior commitment. Hopefully, some of you other bloggers and readers would like to hang out and chat about the world, the blogosphere, and cats and dogs and guns...

Note: Comments close down on posts after seven days and then
the comment input form disappears.

Your comments are welcome. You don't need to enter a URL and you don't need a "valid" email address, either. Note though that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that.
