May 20, 2004Jars Of ClayJars Of Clay is a wonderful Christian band. A newcomer to my reciprocal blogroll, A Housewife's Life, admires the poetry of their lyrics. I tried to leave a comment there but got a "network error" or some such. Anyway, my own personal favorite of Jars Of Clay is their song, Flood. The lyrics might be slightly sophmoric but the intent and the plea is all too real to me. Buy or download it because it really is a good song, whether you're a Christian or not. And yes, I certainly can "switch gears" here at Alphecca rather abruptly... Comments
"Flood" is indeed pretty good, though I haven't at all kept up with what Jars of Clay is doing recently (if anything.) One of the advantages of having kids is they bring all kinds of interesting stuff to your attention, but in this case the Jars of Clay fans are no longer at home... Of course, it is a huge source of intergenerational pride here, in my favor, that I'm the one that introduced them to StrongBad rather than the other way around. (How did I find StrongBad? Well, by reading Instapundit, naturally: with a post that said, in his inimatible brief way "Techno Explained." Heh.) You don't need to enter a URL and you don't need a "valid" email address, either. Note though that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that. By Golly, you're reading an archived post.
