Haunted Mansion

I rented Disney's Haunted Mansion last night. I really liked it a lot. Eddie Murphy always makes me laugh and the rest of the cast was very good too. Mighty fine special effects and the DVD bonuses were actually interesting, including the making of the hearse through the cemetary scene and a virtual tour of the haunted mansion with witty narration by the butler and maid. And outtakes! Too few movies include their outtakes but I'm glad this one did.

There, another fascinating slice of my life to rivet you to Alphecca...

Perhaps its cause were boring parents now, but we really enjoy all of the recent Eddie Murphy family friendly entertainment. I would go so far as to say most of his family films are funnier than his earlier raunchy period - though nothing will top Boggie In Your Butt, Mr. Robinson's Hood, or the Gumby Christmas special.

As an aside, my wife had an extra good time watching the movie since she works in real estate. The first few scenes when they arrive at the mansion are classic for real estate laughs. I love Eddies description of the cemetary. Just great!!!

Your comments are welcome. You don't need to enter a URL and you don't need a "valid" email address, either. Note though that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" (even in your email address) are currently banned as well. So are strings such as "cialis" (a common spam) which rules out words such as "socialism". Try putting a hyphan in a word like that.
