To start on a sad (for us) note, Michael Demmons of Discount Blogger is calling it quits to spend more time with his family. I wish him well. We've lost quite a few among our ranks of late.

Me? Alphecca gives me an outlet for my rants and raves. Otherwise I'd have to collar friends and co-workers and soap-box to them. This is much better (so they tell me...)

Fortunately, there's no stopping for Eric Scheie, who's rightly outraged at the trial, conviction, and sentence of a man for trying to ease his own pain. Another casualty of the stupid war on drugs.

And Weekend Pundit is raging against junk media science. I use a BIC lighter, by the way...

I've never had much of a good opinion of Singapore (too oppressive for me) but Jason Hinds is (tragic accident not-withstanding) singing it's praises.

Say Uncle reports that Colt Firearms has filed suit against two other gun makers for "trademark infringement." Once again, Colt is trying to alienate the civilian market...
