An environmental group sued a gun club last year for lead contamination in the bed of a bordering river. Club settles with group, including a $15,000 dollar “donation” to the group. Part of the deal is that the gun club can continue holding their “pigeon shoots.” So here it is, a year later:
The Environmental Protection Agency plans to test for high levels of lead at an outdoor gun range along the Delaware River in Bensalem.
David Sternberg, an EPA spokesman, said the agency was required by statute to conduct a preliminary assessment of the Philadelphia Gun Club after a “citizen petition.”
Guess who it was that filed that petition. Time’s up. It was the same environmental group. Maybe they were looking for another “donation.”
