A modified 1975 Nova – airbrushed with various scenes depicting the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on America – is for sale in the November issue of Hemmings Motor News with an asking price of $30 million.
A full-page color ad for the car billed as a “9/11 Memorial on Wheels” says that the Nova has been signed by governors and senators and “has travelled across the U.S. reminding people of the tragedy that took place on 9/11/2001.”
I had a 1966 Nova. Bought it used for $500 dollars. Great car! Bigger than most full-sized cars today. It had a 194ci in-line six engine that tapped the whole time I had it (for years, racked up over a hundred thousand miles on it myself) and never had to replace anything on it except the fuel pump — which I did myself.
I miss that car, but not $30 millions worth.
