The arrested adolescents at the Huffington Post are upset that investment companies are still intent on making money for their clients:
Amid a flurry of media attention in the wake of the Newtown massacre that killed 20 children and six adults, Cerberus Capital vowed to sell of its controlling stake in the Freedom Group, a holding company that owns some of the biggest American gun manufacturers — including Bushmaster, a maker of the AR-15, which was the Newtown murderer’s weapon of choice.
“Cerberus Capital Management has not sold a single penny of its investment in Freedom Group. This is inexcusable and these delays can no longer be tolerated,ā€¯ reads a letter delivered to Cerberus on Tuesday by Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY), families of Newtown victims and other gun-control advocates who demand the company sell its stake in the Freedom Group in the next 30 days.
Firstly: Shame on Cerberus for issuing a statement such as indicated in the article. Their business is investing in profitable companies. They did that. Their private investors surely thank them for it.
Fortunately for the investors, they didn’t follow through with their acquiescence to the anti-gun liberals. Yet.
Result: The company — at this moment — didn’t cave to the demands of a bunch of whining liberals and are making money. Awful, isn’t it? I’m sure that the investors think so. Yeah!
Prospect for the future: Unknown. Will Cerberus give in? Or, will they rightly continue to pursue the best paths of profit they promised their shareholders?
Let’s put aside the gun thing in this story. Liberals passionately hate when someone other than themselves makes money. So, when an investment company owns shares of stock in one that manufactures a product that lots of people want but that liberals don’t like or don’t consider to be politically correct, they start making childish, unworldly demands. Now, we’ll discover what cohones Cerberus has by their future actions.
