I’ll tell you what: This is like the third story in the past year of NYC cops dealing in illegal firearms. Hmmm, if only there was a group, perhaps of big city mayors, who could investigate. From the Wall Street Journal:
A New York Police Department officer and his brother were arrested for allegedly trafficking high-powered firearms to a third brother in the Philippines, federal law-enforcement officials announced on Friday.
Rex Maralit, a 44-year-old officer assigned to police headquarters in Lower Manhattan, was arrested on charges of conspiring to violate the Arms Export Control Act and engage in unlicensed firearms dealing, law-enforcement officials said.
Mayor Bloomberg; call your office.
