Showing astounding originality, this idea of some unknown anti-gun group should have about the same impact as a cotton ball falling off a cliff. From USA Today:
An advocacy group has called for “Skip Starbucks Saturday” this weekend — a nationwide boycott on Aug. 24, to pressure the coffee giant to amend its current policy that allows customers to carry loaded guns into Starbucks stores where permitted by state law.
“Many moms are unaware that if they take their children to Starbucks, their children may be standing next to a customer who has a loaded weapon,” says Shannon Watts, founder of the non-profit group Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense.
Many moms are also unaware that every time they and their children ride a bus or subway, walk down the street, browse a mall, they may be standing next to some criminal punk carrying an illegal, loaded weapon. The only thing that might save them is a law abiding customer or person carrying a concealed weapon.
