From the Ocala, Florida Police Department, a police blotter incident:
On 8/14/13, at approximately 9:43 PM, officers responded to a report of a robbery at Martin Oil, 1517 SW 10th St. Investigation revealed that a b/m subject had come into the business, attempted to cover his face with a yellow t-shirt, and had demanded money from the clerk. The suspect pointed with a hand covered by a hat at first and then pulled out what was later discovered to be cardboard covered in tin foil, and pointed it at the clerk, as well. The suspect was unsuccessful in getting into the cash register; he ended up taking a donation can containing change from the counter and fleeing on a bicycle. No one was injured in the incident.
He was caught a couple of blocks away.
Sounds like a scene from Woody Allen’s Take the Money and Run.
