From USA Today:

C. Everett Koop, the former surgeon general who brought frank talk about AIDS into U.S. homes, has died at his home in Hanover, N.H., officials at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth said Monday. He was 96.

I met him a couple of times. He bought furniture from me when I was working for the furniture company in Hanover.

Which brings me to some good news: They’ve hired me back to help with their web database. I had an interview last week and I start today. It doesn’t pay much but it’s a job.
