Democrats see potential Republican opposition to the gun-control push led by President Obama as jeopardizing the GOP’s appeal with voters in suburban districts, the very seats Democrats are focusing on in their bid to regain the House majority.
A new memo from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee outlines how it believes “Tea Party Republicans” are hurting the party overall with their stance against expanded gun-control measures.
Republicans have already lost the suburban and urban vote in most states. Taking a pro-gun control stance will cost them pretty much the rest of the country.
