NY Daily News Throws Hissy-Fit
On Friday and Saturday this week, South Carolinians will be able to purchase firearms sans any state or local sales taxes. It’s a nice way to celebrate part of the Bill of Rights and also kick off hunting season. Or just get the holiday shopping season going.
Well. WELL! The NY Daily Fishwrapper News doesn’t approve:
The great state of South Carolina is putting its own sick twist on Black Friday with a tax holiday on firearm purchases.
Not cars.
Not clothes.
Certainly not books.
Just guns.
For the 48 hours following Thanksgiving, gun buyers will enjoy a break of up to 9% in state and local taxes.
Firearms traffickers are not expected to pass the savings on to New York criminals, but what is called “the extrava-gun-za” and “Second Amendment Weekend” is sure to help South Carolina stay among the top five states that provide 85% of the illegal handguns recovered in New York City.
Boo-hoo, Bloomberg, maybe if you allowed NYC citizens the right to protect themselves you wouldn’t have a city crawling with gangs and criminals. Once those were eliminated, the market for illegally smuggled guns for thugs would be eliminated.
By the way, I want you to hold your mouse over the link to the newspaper story and note the contempt that NY newspaper elitists have for Southerners. If you look at the status bar at the bottom of your browser, you’ll see that part of the URL says, “dixie-dopes.”

If guns were the cause of crime, wouldn’t the 5 states that are the source of 85% of NYC’s guns have a higher crime rate than NYC?
Of course, living in Florida, I can tell you that NY is the source of 80% of the idiots in Florida.

I thought West Virginia supplied 70% of illegal firearms in New York. So now S.C. provides 85% of illegal firearmes for a grand total of 155%. WTF….?????????

Hey Guys, Please try to remember that your associates out here in the west secured civility with the gun and continue the same to this day without depriving law abiding citizens of “THEIR RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS” !!!! (Except probably California)
Recent point of interest;
An absolute total jerk (I cleaned that up a mega-ton) walked into a coffee shop, executed four police officers getting ready to protect and serve, just for the HELL of it!! He got what he deserved, however more rounds should have been pumped into him so other career criminals could have gotten the complete message. I don’t care where you come from or what your ethnicity is, you don’t go around killing people (especially law enforcement officers that are trying the best they can within the restrictions the law is tying their hands behind their backs) Just because you had a bad day, got a speeding ticket, are too damn lazy to get a job and actually WORK, or your on a menstrual cycle (both male & female as well as surgical electives). Why won’t our limp wristed congresses and houses of representatives Nation wide put some teeth in the penalties for gun violence and leave honest citizens alone? I’m a firm believer in Charlton Hesston
