Dog Shoots Man, Now THAT Would Be News
A French deer hunter who had to have his right hand amputated after his dog accidentally shot him said on Monday he didn’t blame the pet, which he still considered “adorable”.
The accident occurred while the huntsman was taking part in a deer hunt on Sunday with three Blue Gascony Basset hounds near St Michel de Double, near Mussidan.
The hunter, identified only as Rene, told France Bleu radio the dog accidentally pulled the trigger of his shotgun when he jumped on him while they were hunting.
This is not the first incident of its kind. See this story and this one, too.
Just a friendly reminder that until you’re ready to shoot, keep the safety on.

“When he jumped on him while hunting.”
How he got in his pyjamas…
Syntax must have been related to Vercingetorix.
There is no dog on which a Frenchman will not jump.
I didn’t know you could do this without a boat.
It’s worse with a boat: you’re shot, your best friend has just betrayed you, and your boat sinks. Ever hear a duck laugh?

There was another story I saw some years ago about a high school teacher in Texas killed when his dog stepped on a loaded shotgun in the bed of a pickup as they were loading up to go dove hunting. Very tragic.
