Former (R) FL Gov. Crist Endorses Obama
Maybe he’s hoping to get an ambassadorship to a tropical island after butt-kissing Obama in this op-ed of his.
Here, just randomly, are some quotes. Read the whole thing because context doesn’t make them any more rational:
I applaud and share his vision of a future built by a strong and confident middle class in an economy that gives us the opportunity to reap prosperity through hard work and personal responsibility.
[ . . . ]
He kept his compass pointed due north and relentlessly focused on saving jobs, creating more and helping the many who felt trapped beneath the house of cards that had collapsed upon them.
[ . . . ]
President Obama has a strong record of doing what is best for America and Florida, and he built it by spending more time worrying about what his decisions would mean for the people than for his political fortunes.
This is actually all laugh-out-loud funny. Just these three quotes are so far away from the truth as to almost be a satire from The Onion.
Personal responsibility for citizens? He’s created the largest government-dependent underclass in our country’s history.
Relentlessly focused on creating jobs? What jobs? Employment is 4 million less than it was when he took office.
Not worrying about his political future? Every move he has made and makes has been designed to get him re-elected.
Charlie Crist is unhinged if he really believes what he writes in this ludicrous editorial.

That guy’s got so many vapid metaphors, he sounds like an 18-year-old girl’s high school valedictory address!

Charlie Christ, the former governor of my beloved Florida, the Gunshine state, has been thoroughly repudiated by virtually all political parties in the state. Instead of R after his name (for RINO) he should have D after it for Defeated.
His endorsement of the Obungler is just further evidence of him being totally corrupt, both morally and politically.

“He kept his compass pointed due north…” Yep, better off without ‘em.
M.Dave, that’s gonna leave a mark, as the best-known recent 18-yr-old girl valedictorian couldn’t get her diploma because she blurted out “How the hell should I know?” and folks noticed.
We should dream of such candor from either of our current “Christs.”

I think the guy is loosing it. Just goes to show how far left some of our republican polititions have become. Keep on voting them out of office.

Two things.
Is there an inside joke here when you refer to the former REPUBLICAN governor as Christ?
As in crucified, son of gawd, descended into hell and on the third day arisen, and so on? Anyway, I might be missing something, slow as I am.
Second, I don’t think it’s too rude of me to point out that this power-worshiping lewinsky Crist is the same lickspittle asskisser and suckup who was once a prominent REPUBLICAN party insider and big-time player, himself schmoozed by the REPUBLICAN party hierarchy, and who endorsed that quintessential gamer, the REPUBLICAN party’s wannabe candidate during primary time, the con artist REPUBLICAN mccain. And so now, this snake is causing the REPUBLICAN party power brokers a little heartburn. Boo frickin hoo.
Sorry. Just had to get that off my chest. Thank you.
Enjoy your blog.

Er, yes, sorry for the typo. It is Gov. Crist. He has never been crucified although after writing this op-ed, he should be.
