Given the nonsense being ginned-up nationally by the media over the Zimmerman/Martin incident in Florida, I don’t expect that a bill expanding Castle Doctrine in Massachusetts will ever pass. From GazetteNET:
The bill, filed in February by Sen. Stephen Brewer, a Democrat who represents several Franklin County towns, would allow people to defend themselves in public by using guns, knives, baseball bats or other deadly force if they feel threatened or think someone else is endangered.
Incidentally, there are a lot of quotes from a Sen. Rosenberg questioning the bill. This is not THAT Rosenberg, John Rosenberg, of anti-gun billboard infamy.
Seriously, ├╝ber-liberal Massachusetts passing something like this? And Gov. Patrick signing it into law?
