The scold is a hypocrite according to this story. From the Daily Caller:
Documents published online this month show that People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, an organization known for its uncompromising animal-rights positions, killed more than 95 percent of the pets in its care in 2011.
[ . . . ]
Fifteen years’ worth of similar records show that since 1998 PETA has killed more than 27,000 animals at its headquarters in Norfolk, VA.
In a February 16 statement, the Center said PETA killed 1,911 cats and dogs last year, finding homes for only 24 pets.
By the way, I had hamburgers for dinner last night.

Me, I had cat sausage, obtained last week from a PETA yardsale across town. It’s got much less saturated fat. Cat, the other white (and calico) meat.
OK, Jeff, I’m just kidding. I love cats too (though I won’t trust them with my guns like you do - one of them has an itchy left paw).

There is a long running war between, animal “Rights” advocates and “Welfare” advocates.
Similar in a lot of ways to our own pro gun sniping between “prags” + “Fudds” and “threepers”.
Neither side of the animal activist’s war generally considers death to be a negative issue. Many even see it as “freeing” the critter: A viewpoint which I hope I never meet on the pro gun side of the debate, but which does appear to exist on the anti side.

What itr all comes down to is that like good libs everywher, peta(and hsusa) as both all about the money. That same source probably has the stats on what percentage of their take is actually spent on care for animals vis their “overhead”.

What strikes me odd is the 24 homes. PETA is against animal ownership. Penn & Teller did a decent show on peta a while back on their show Bullshit.

Whoa. Soyer boldly challenges the Puppy Blender and AoS in “most unruly commentariat” category. Talk about a tough crowd. We’re it.

When I saw “The scold is a hypocrite.” I immediately thought of Michelle Obama telling us to live on 2500 calories per day, then the white house giving a 2000 calorie lunch to the governors today…..
Damn lying hypocrites.
