MSNBC: Al Roker, “Armed in America”
I don’t have cable. Anyone see this — presumably anti-gun — special last night?

Predictably crappy, with a leftist, nanny slant
1) did not illuminate WHY Americans have a tradition of firearms ownership or the RKBA; nothing about sports or hunting or self defense — legal use
2) painted the Bloomberg — criminal — straw purchases in a favorable light; didn’t even tell the viewers that NYC broke Federal gun laws in the sting; put the blame for straw purchases on the gun stores, not the scumbags
3) at one point, Roker shoots a fully-automatic Thompson {Tommy gun} in .45 ACP!! …with the intro, “Let’s shoot what the bad guys carry on the streets.”
lame, lame, lame…others are free to add other examples

I watched it. VERY anti gun. Al roker shoots a 9mm glock and it almost flies out of his hands. He looked so out of place.total novice, looked like an idiot shooting. Held the gun like it was a piece of fragile glass, made the recoil look like he had a .44 mag, and this was a tiny 9mm, the bare minimum in many experts opinion for adequate self defense. He made a fool of himself and looked like such a wimp with a gun flying all over the place. He is for gun control because he cant even hold one correctly.

Seriously irresponsible, borders on fear mongering. Take a look at the program, right after the “curator” of the FBI’s gun collection shows Al Sadam Hussein’s gold AK machine gun. Sorry for the paraphrasing but the curator shows Al a .50 caliber sniper rifle and Al comments on it being a .50 caliber “machine gun”. Then, in response to Al’s comment the curator responds something like, “You’d be surprised that the government has deemed that anything .50 caliber and smaller is legal”. What this implies is that machine guns are legal. I know this to be untrue but the majority of people who watch a program like that would probably believe it to be true.
The optimist in me would say that it was an honest mistake, but with all the people who have agendas I am concerned that they are trying to scare people to into buying into more gun control. If that is the case I believe that to be more than irresponsible.

I didn’t even know about it.
Can I assume there are 4 emails to the folks at the network damning their lies?

You can watch this dreck on the MSNBC website, though curiously in edited clips. Roker looks lost and in need of NRA assistance. Typical gun grabber slant.

I found it a typical maiin stream media anti-gun hatchet job. Very brief mention that there are legitemate gun owners (about one minute or less).
